My World Tuesday

My World is currently made of leaves, leaves everywhere in great and glorious golden abundance. With a fully loaded Cottonwood, huge Native Elm and Maple surrounding us, the ensuing fall-out has overtaken us.

(By the way, the shot above involved me lying flat on my stomach amongst all the leaves for about 20 minutes as I snapped away. Who knows what the neighbours would have thought had they seen me - "what's that crazy Brit' doing now?")

They have suddenly taken over my home, last week my path to the garage was even blocked by a huge leaf-bank! Once we had grass in our backyard, now we just have leaves!

So this weekend the Hubster decided to take back our world. With the help of a neighbouring child keen to earn pocket money, a blower and his mulcher.....he set about regaining control. 23 full, mulched bags later we can once again see our lawn!

To join in go to My World Tuesday

Your world looks a lot like my world except my leaves are still everywhere. Good thing I like the leaves although I will need to chop them eventually. I love the shots of your leaves covering your landscape.

That's an awful lot of leaves. I guess I should stop complaining about not having many signs of autumn around here. :-)

That could be my yard at the moment!
We've mulched twice and need to do it again.

Oh yes, that's an awful lot of leaves you have there! Now I understand that you are "obsessed" :)
Thank you for your visit and your nice comment on my walk through the leaves!
Have a nice week!

This was three weeks ago here, this leaves show :)
Trees are giving more and more leaves every year and we are getting older and older - not good combination, we are thinking to cut some of our birches and maples of our backyard.

Your post gave to me a good mood, thank you!

Sarah: What an mighty large amount of leaves you have to handle. You now have grass again.

The leaves are hard to keep up with this time of year!

Very interesting post about the leaves. It really looked like a huge carpet but it sure looked like a lot of work clearing those leaves. Happy Tuesday to you.

I love walking through crunchy leaves but I know what a lot of work it is getting them picked up. Bet you are glad that job is over and done!

It's Winter alright! You have a lot work to do with these leaves.

I feel your pain. I've got quite an investment in "exfoliating equipment" for my world. Blowers, chipper/shredder/vaccuum... It's the same battle every year, and one I never actually win.

So your world looks exactly like mine (and Carver's). Except the "fallout" is only beginning here in NC. By this weekend though I expect a full-on assault. And I'll be fighting the last of the resistance until probably January or early February.

hehe have to giggle over your first shot. That's so something I would do as well. We've had the town clearing leaves around the town common area these last couple days. I'll miss their crunch underfoot but not the slip sliding when they're wet.
